This 6-8 age group is one of my very favorite for recommendations because there are so many books that I have enjoyed along with my children! Also, since reading levels can vary widely between 6- and 8-year-olds, I recommend these primarily for reading aloud; however, the content of every book would be appropriate for kids to read on their own that age if they’re able. We have read every single book on this list, and they have risen to the top as our very favorites!
