What Is The Caldecott Medal?
The Caldecott Medal, named after renowned illustrator Randolph Caldecott, is awarded annually to the best illustrated children’s book of that year. It began in 1938 and has continued every year since then. (To read more about Ralph Caldecott and his life, check out this picture book.)
